Newsboys

Newsboys are a Grammy Award-nominated Christian pop rock band. Since the band's founding in Australia in 1985, Newsboys have released fourteen studio albums and have been one of the most popular Christian music artists of the past two decades. One of the more media-exposed Christian rock bands of the '90s, Newsboys gained six number one singles on the Christian charts, and have been featured in more secular media outlets than the average Christian band. Newsboys are considered one of the most popular bands in the Christian music industry. They have had numerous hit singles on the Christian pop charts, including Shine (1994), Take Me To Your Leader (1996) and He Reigns (2003). Their latest well-received effort, God's Not Dead (2011), has been exploding up the charts and shows just how far Newsboys have come since those early days of 1985.

Switchfoot

Started in San Diego, California, Switchfoot found early successes in the Christian rock scene before gaining mainstream recognition with the inclusion of four of their songs in the 2002 movie A Walk to Remember. This recognition led to their major label debut, The Beautiful Letdown, which was released in 2003 and featured the hits "Meant to Live" and "Dare You to Move" and went on to sell over 2.6 million copies. Their seventh studio album Hello Hurricane received a Grammy award in 2011 for Best Rock or Rap Gospel Album. According to Jon Foreman, the name "Switchfoot" comes from a surfing term. "We all love to surf and have been surfing all our lives so to us, the name made sense. To switch your feet means to take a new stance facing the opposite direction. It's about change and movement, a different way of approaching life and music."

matthew West

Several years ago, when Matthew West invited people to share their stories to serve as inspiration for an upcoming album, he had no idea it would be the start of an amazing journey that would forever change his music, ministry and life. Armed with more than 10,000 stories from fans all over the world, the floodgates of inspiration opened and West crafted a landmark album, The Story of Your Life. Suddenly people were given a voice and a chance for their stories to be heard. It started a powerful wave that continues with even greater momentum on West’s new album Into the Light.

Mandisa

Born and raised in Citrus Heights, California, Mandisa grew up singing in the church. After graduating from high school, she studied Vocal Jazz at American River College before heading east to Fisk University in Tennessee, where she graduated with a bachelor's degree in music with a concentration in vocal performance. She did session work as a backup singer for a wide variety of artists including Christian author and speaker Beth Moore, Sandi Patty, Shania Twain, Take 6 and Trisha Yearwood. The audition for American Idol's fifth season in Chicago took her from being backup to up front.

Colton Dixon

Tennessee native Colton Dixon first caught the attention of listeners on “American Idol” season eleven, with his cool vocals and positive attitude. Placing seventh on the popular music competition, Colton is now following in the footsteps of fellow Idol alums Mandisa and Jason Castro, by venturing into the world of Christian music. Colton's latest song "More of You" off his upcoming album Anchor (August 19, 2014) reflects his humble spirit amidst the fanfare he gained through "American Idol." Emphasizing how temporary our earthly kingdoms are, the chorus helps us realize the importance of surrendering to whatever God has for us.

Newsong

Newsong started out 30 years ago as a 9 member church band for Morningside Baptist Church in Valdosta, GA, never imagining that they would still be together in 2010. Founding member, Billy Goodwin, explains the group's faith attitude, "The commitment that we made was, 'God, we'll do this as long as Your hand is on it, as long as we see You working.' One of the joys in my walk has been learning that God is faithful even when things look impossible." Throughout the years, and changes in the group, they have had 17 #1 singles, six Gospel Music Association Dove Award nominations, numerous songwriting awards, and five of the Top 100 Christian radio singles of the past decade. They are known for their songs, "Arise, My Love," "Miracles," "Jesus To The World (Roaring Lambs), and "The Christmas Shoes," which is also the title of their first Christmas Album.

Andy Mineo

Whether he’s on stage bringing an audience to its feet with his riveting performance or off stage fielding interview questions with a potent combination of intellect and wit, it’s obvious Andy Mineo is a born communicator and hip hop music is his instrument for reaching the masses. “It is absolutely undeniable that hip hop is becoming the universal language,” Mineo says expressing an unbridled enthusiasm for his artistic vehicle. “It’s so influential because you are able to say so much in a short period of time. The essence of hip hop is the boldness of it so you’re able to be exactly who you are. You are able to say exactly what you want. You represent exactly what is deepest and dearest to you and people respond to that. They respond to that realness.” That musical authenticity, heart for people and keen insight into the human condition coalesce on Mineo’s Reach Records debut Heroes for Sale. “We make heroes out of a lot of things,” he says. “We make heroes out of people. We believe ourselves to be greater than we really are. We make ourselves look like heroes to other people. What I really wanted to do is show the brokenness of the heroes that we create and the heroes that we try to be in order to show that there is ultimately only one great hero.”

Rush of Fools

Best known for their hit single “Undo,” the most-played song on adult contemporary Christian radio stations in 2007, Rush of Fools got its start after winning a contest called “Band With a Mission,” a title that really couldn’t be more fitting for the Alabama natives. The band's first single “When Our Hearts Sing” from its self titled album Rush of Fools helped put the band on the map, and was followed by its second album, Wonders of the World, an album that received four Dove Award nominations.
