Josh McDowell

As a young man, Josh McDowell considered himself an agnostic. He truly believed that Christianity was worthless. However, when challenged to intellectually examine the claims of Christianity, Josh discovered compelling, overwhelming evidence for the reliability of the Christian faith. After trusting in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, Josh’s life changed dramatically as he experienced the power of God’s love. After his conversion, his plans for law school turned instead to plans to tell a doubting world about the truth of Jesus Christ. After studying at Kellogg College, Josh completed his college degree at Wheaton College and then attended Talbot Theological Seminary, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Master of Divinity degree. Well known as an articulate speaker, Josh has addressed more than 10 million young people, giving over 24,000 talks in 118 countries.

Johnny Hunt

Dr. Johnny M. Hunt is the senior pastor of First Baptist Church of Woodstock, GA. His dynamic and evangelistic messages have made him a very sought after speaker worldwide. Since coming to First Baptist Church in 1987, the church has experienced explosive growth. Under Dr. Hunt's leadership, the church has grown from 250 in Sunday School in 1986 to over 5500 currently. In 1996, Dr. Hunt was elected the President of the Pastors' Conference of the Southern Baptist Convention, and was elected the President of the Southern Baptist Convention in 2008. The messages offered in this catalogue should give you some idea why First Baptist Church has experienced such tremendous growth under his ministry. Dr. Hunt, a native of North Carolina, received his education from Gardner-Webb College and the Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. Dr. Hunt has also received honorary doctorates from Immanuel Baptist Theological Seminary, Covington Theological Seminary, and Tennessee Temple University. He has previously pastored churches in Gaffney, SC; Wake Forest, NC; and Wilmington, NC. He married Janet Allen Hunt of Wilmington, NC and has two daughters Deanna and Hollie.

Matt Pitt

After high school, Matt attended the University of Alabama. And instead of concentrating on his school workload, he continued consuming and selling drugs, mainly cocaine. One day, Matt's parents came to attend the university football game and to visit him. During the game, Matt had a drug overdose and was rushed to the hospital. Matt's father began giving him random drug tests until the time he failed one. His father, a former alcohol addict, knew where Matt was headed and was forced to make a tough decision. He sat Matt down in the basement of their home and gave him the option to get his life right or be homeless. His parents made the decision to no longer help support his addiction. “My mom and dad said, 'Matt we love you. We love you with all our heart, but today, you've got to go. We're not going to tolerate this addiction any longer. We're tired of it destroying our family and your life,’” he said. “The only option I had was to be homeless. It's kind of like that prodigal son moment; all my friends had left me at that point. I had nobody. I squandered everything I had been given, and I knew I had to make a decision.” That night, in his basement, Matt's father led him to the Lord, and he had an encounter with God like never before.

Ergun Caner

Ergun Caner is a Professor & Apologist at the Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary and Graduate School in Lynchburg, Virginia. Raised as a devout Sunni Muslim along with his two brothers, Caner converted in high school. After his conversion, he pursued his call to the ministry and education. He has a Masters degree from The Criswell College, a Master of Divinity and a Master of Theology from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary, and a Doctor of Theology from the University of South Africa. He has written numerous books with his brother, Dr. Emir Caner, who is the President of Truett-McConnell College, a Baptist college in Georgia.
